Abstract
Background: Chronic kidney disease is a different pathophysiological and etiological process, as a result of which kidney function decreases progressively leading to kidney failure (Jainurakhma & et al, 2021). The incidence of chronic kidney failure in Indonesia was recorded at 323 people, consisting of 99 cases recovered, 34 cases treated and 190 deaths in the Central Java region (Riskesdas 2022). General Objective: The research aims to explain nursing care using the ankle pumping exercise for CKD patients with hypervolemia in the Mawar Room at Prof. Hospital. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Method: Descriptive research type with a case study approach. This type of case study uses nursing care studies. Results of nursing care: Total results of ankle pumping exercise analysis for five patients during 5 procedures, namely: patient 1 grade 4 (7 mm) became grade 2 (5 mm). Patient 2 grade 3 (5 mm) becomes grade 2 (3 mm). Patient 3 grade 4 (7 mm) became grade 2 (5 mm). Patient 4 grade 2 (5 mm) became grade 1 (3 mm). Patient 5 grade 4 (7 mm) became grade 2 (4 mm). So the overall decrease in procedures after 5 procedures was carried out, the degree of edema decreased by 2 mm. Conclusion: The results of the analysis of the 5 patients can be concluded that providing ankle pumping exercise therapy can reduce pitting edema in CKD patients.
