Abstract
Background: Cervical cancer is cancer that develops in a woman's cervix (the entrance to the uterus from the vagina). In patients with cervical cancer, it is possible to have psychological problems caused by changes in appearance, status and roles, physical mobility, activities and work in daily life. These conditions lead to impaired self-concept dependence on others to meet basic needs in the form of Situational Low Self-Esteem problems. To overcome this Situational Low Self-Esteem problem, this can be done using positive affirmation therapy, positive affirmation itself is providing information to one's conscious mind continuously so that this information will be embedded in the subconscious mind. Purpose: Explaining the Analysis of Nursing Care in Cervical Cancer Patients with a Situational Low Self-Esteem Nursing Diagnosis Using Positive Affirmation Therapy at RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong. Research Methods: The method used is an intervention method with a case study approach, this case report reports a comparison of the results of nursing care between 5 clients who experience impaired self-concept: low self-esteem. Results: From the results of the study on the five respondents with Cervical Cancer, it was found that the five respondents experienced Situational Low Self-Esteem problems problems with an RSES value of <15, after 3 days of implementation with positive affirmations, it was found that the five patients experienced an increase in RSES values ≥16 or the five respondents experienced an increase in selfesteem. Conclusion: PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital is expected to apply positive affirmation therapy which is proven to be effective in reducing Situational HDR problems in Cervical Cancer patients. Recommendation: For future researchers, it is hoped that they can examine the administration of five finger hypnosis in patients with Situational Low Self-Esteem problems.
