Abstract
Background: High blood pressure is a major risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, heart failure and stroke. High blood pressure can be caused by excessive caffeine intake which can result in increased cardiac output and increased blood pressure. Purpose : Knowing the effect of coffee aromatherapy on lowering blood pressure in patients with hypertension at Siaga Medika Banyumas General Hospital. Research Method : Pre-experimental method or in other words conducting test activities, statistical test used wilcoxon statistical test with a total of 90 respondents Results : The results of the study of the effect of coffee aromatherapy on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients at the Siaga Medika Banyumas General Hospital, which shows significant results or the probability value blood pressure -7.780 is much lower than 0.05 or significant (p value <α). Conclusion: In this study, there is an effect of coffee aromatherapy on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients at Siaga Medika Banyumas General Hospital. Recommendations for future researchers: Can be used as basic data for future research and it is expected that future research will use time, energy, and as efficiently as possible and involve families in this study.
