Abstract
Background : Distal radius fracture is a form of Colles fracture and Smith fracture that occurs in the wrist area. Surgery will cause anxiety resulting in fear of death, failure of medication and complications. One therapy that can be used to reduce anxiety levels is murotal spiritual therapy. The Qur'an is able to bring calm and minimize anxiety. Purpose : The aim of the research was to determine the effect of murottal therapy on anxiety levels in preoperative patients with Distal Radius Fractures in the IBS Room at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas. Research Method : Quantitative research method pretest-posttest control group design with a quasi-experimental design. The sample for this study was 30 preoperative distal radius patients using a sequential sampling technique. The research instrument used the Amsterdam Preoperative Anxiety and Information Scale (APAIS) questionnaire with data analysis using the Wilcoxon test. Result : the results of the study showed that the level of anxiety in preoperative distal radius patients before being given murottal therapy was mostly moderate (63.3%) and after being given murottal therapy was mostly mild (56.7%). Conclusion : There was an effect of murottal therapy on the level of anxiety in preoperative patients from the distal radius in the IBS room at RSU Siaga Medika Banyumas with a p value of 0.0001. Recommendations for future researchers : they can develop research by expanding the material, such as examining pre, intra and post anxiety and not only in pre-operative patients with distal radius fractures but also in other surgical patients.
