Abstract
Background: Globally, one in four people aged over 25 years experiences a stroke. The death rate due to stroke is reported to be 5.5 million cases. Stroke can have an impact on various body functions clinically, including motor loss, communication loss, perception disorders, damage to cognitive function and psychological function and bladder dysfunction. Objective: to understand the description of cognitive function in post-stroke patients at KRT Setjonegoro Regional Hospital, Wonosobo. Method: This research is quantitative descriptive research. The samples taken were 100 stroke patients from November 2023 – December 2023 using consecutive sampling technique. Data analysis used univariate analysis. Results: Post-stroke characteristics at KRT Setjonegoro Regional Hospital, Wonosobo, mostly 35 people aged 56-65 years (35%), with 60 people (60%) female, 40 respondents (40%), 40 respondents (40%), self-employed workers. as many as 37 respondents (37%), and married status was 76 respondents (76%). Conclusion: Description of post-stroke cognitive function at KRT Setjonegoro Hospital, Wonosobo, most of the respondents had impaired cognitive function, 77 people (77%). Recommendation: For patients, it is important to improve cognitive function in post-stroke patients to minimize complications.
