Abstract
Background: Hypertension is a health problem that ranks among the largest of all non-communicable diseases. The prevalence of hypertension in Wonosobo Regency in 2020 was 41,566 (15.3%). Hypertension can cause problems with the quality of life, especially psychological aspects because psychological aspects have an important role in the process of developing a person's disease, therefore hypertension sufferers need self-efficacy, because self-efficacy has a key role in the regulation of self-motivation in the implementation of personal control, including control over one's own health condition Objective: Knowing the relationship between self-efficacy and self-management in hypertension sufferers in the Kepil Health Center Work Area, Wonosobo Regency. Method: This research is a quantitative correlation research. The approach used is cross sectional. Samples were taken from 99 hypertensive patients who were outpatients at the Kepil Wonosobo Community Health Center, taken using a probability sampling technique. Bivariate analysis with Spearman rank test. Results: The research results showed that with a high level of self-efficacy, 40 people (40.4%) mostly implemented good hypertension management and 67 people (67.7%). This is shown by the results of the Spearman's rho test obtained from a positive correlation or Correlation Coefficient of 0.305. The results of the test using obtained a p value of 0.002 with (p < 0.05), meaning that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and self-management in hypertension sufferers. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and selfmanagement in hypertension sufferers. Recommendation: to develop this research by examining family relationship factors with self-management of hypertensive patients
