Abstract
Background: The main mental disorder problem that often occurs in the World is sensory perception disorder: hallucinations. Hallucinations are symptoms of mental disorders in individuals characterized by sensory perceptual alterations: feeling false sensations in the form of sound, vision, touch, taste and comfort. The way that can be done to control hallucinations is through generalist therapy and gardening therapy. Objective: Describe the nursing care of client’s sensory perception disorder: hallucinations through gardening therapy with polybags. Method: This scientific paper uses a descriptive method conducted at the Dosaraso mental Shelter Kebumen as many as 7 meetings for 30 minutes. The instruments used are hallucinatory sign and symptom formats, generalist therapy ability sheets, gardening therapy ability sheets. Results: The average result of decreasing hallucinatory signs and symptoms in all three clients was 4.3 (36.13%) with the highest score in client 1 as much as 5 (41.7%). The average increase in the ability to perform generalist therapy was 3.3 (83.3%) with the highest score in client 2 as much as 4 (100%). The average increase in gardening ability of the three clients was 3.6 (91.6%) with the highest score in clients 2 and 3 as much as 4 (100%). Bottom Line: Gardening therapy may help lower hallucinations Recommendation: Generalist therapy and gardening therapy are recommended to be applied to hallucinatory clients.
