Abstract
Background: Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), smoking behavior can impact the deaths of as many as 6 million people per year, up to more than 5 million active smokers and more than 6 hundred thousand passive smokers. Globally, the number of smokers aged more than 15 million in the world is 991 million people in 2020. Therefore, preventative methods are needed to reduce smoking consumption in teenagers, including by carrying out Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy. Objective: To describe nursing care by applying Spiritual Emotional Freedom Therapy (SEFT) to clients who smoke cigarettes in the diagnosis of health ineffectiveness in the family. Method: This research paper used a descriptive method. This study with 3 responents was carried out for 7 times. Results: From the results of the study of 3 patients, it was found that teenagers were addicted to smoking with ineffective family health management problems. The action taken was to provide SEFT therapy to 3 patients to reduce smoking consumption in children. After taking SEFT therapy for 7 days every morning and evening there was a change in cigarette consumption. Recommendation: Patients are advised to continue SEFT therapy independently at home to facilitate the smooth process of reducing smoking consumption and prevent signs of symptoms due to smoking from appearing again.
