Abstract
Background: Asthma is a non-communicable disease of the respiratory system in which there is inflammation of the airways due to a buildup of secretions or spasm of the bronchi due to an allergic reaction. Symptoms of asthma are shortness of breath, chest pain, wheezing, and coughing. Ineffective airway clearance in asthma occurs due to airway narrowing and secretion buildup due to allergen reactions. Steam Therapy with Euchalyptus Aromatherapy is a therapy that aims to reduce narrowing of the bronchial airway due to spasm and accumulation of secretions so as to increase comfort in breathing. Objective : To Discribe the analysis of nursing care for ineffective airway clearance on asthma patients in emergency installation of general hospital of prembun. Method : The research used descriptive analysis method. This case study was carried out for 3 meetings against 3 respondents.. Result : After having steam therapy with Euchalyptus Aromatherapy for 3 meetings, there was a decrease in respratory frequency with an average of 6x/minute for each respondent. There was an increase in oxygen saturation with an average increase 4% for each respondent. Recommendation : Steam Therapy with Euchalyptus Aromatherapy is easy to do independently because there are no negative effect and it is effective in treating shortness of breath.
