Abstract
Background: One of the nursing problems that arises in patients with chronic renal failure is hypervolemia. Hypervolemia is generally characterized by edema and weight gain. If hypervolemia is not treated, it will disrupt the fulfillment of basic human needs and increase complications such as hypertension, congestive heart failure and even death. General Objective: To present an analysis of the nursing care process for Chronic Kidney Failure patients with hypervolemia nursing problems at Dr Soedirman Regional Hospital, Kebumen. Method: Actions taken to reduce the level of hypervolemia by providing Contrast Bath therapy once a day with a duration of 10-15 minutes for 3 consecutive days Nursing Care Results: All five patients had a top priority nursing diagnosis, namely hypervolemia associated with impaired regulatory mechanisms. Interventions with the aim of improving fluid balance are based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI) and use hypervolemia management based on the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI). The actions given are management of hypervolemia and providing contrast baths as non-pharmacological therapy. Nursing evaluation in the five patients was that hypervolemia was partially resolved and there was a significant reduction in the level of hypervolemia and degree of edema. Recommendation: Contrast Bath Therapy is very good for patients with chronic kidney failure as a therapy to reduce the level of hypervolemia
