Abstract
Background: Hypertension in the elderly can be expressed as persistent asymptomatic disorders of blood pressure. The World Health Organization (2022) states that globally anxiety and depression in the elderly has increased by 25%. In 2025, it is hoped that the elderly will be able to pay attention to the anxiety that occurs to them. The SEFT method (Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique) is one of the many forms of energy psychology extracted from a new branch of science. This technique has been proven effective in treating physical and psychological problems Objective: To explain nursing care for hypertensive elderly with anxiety nursing problems in the inpatient unit of PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Method: This scientific paper uses a descriptive case study design. The case study subjects were 5 hypertensive elderly who experienced anxiety problems. Data collection using observation techniques, interviews and documentation studies. Results: The results showed that after being given SEFT therapy, The pasients experienced quit improved sleep patterns, verbalization of worry due to the condition they were facing decreased, complaints of dizziness decreased quite a lot. Conclusion: Providing innovative SEFT therapy actions can be applied to overcome anxiety problems
