Abstract
Background: Parents must prepare emotionally and psychologically in facing pregnancy, childbirth and parenting so that they can be more confident about their role as parents later. The roles, duties and responsibilities of parents begin during pregnancy and continue to increase when the baby is born. The regularity of tasks related to the baby, such as baby care which requires independent personal skills/abilities, requires a sense of self-confidence and a sense of calm from the parents' experience. Parents' duties include providing exclusive breast milk which has benefits for their baby's health, but there are still many mothers who experience failure in breastfeeding at the beginning of the birth of their first baby. In reality, there are still many husbands who say that breastfeeding is a matter for the mother and baby and don't care about breastfeeding, family support can make breastfeeding a success or failure. In this case, a nursing problem could arise that must be considered, namely readiness to become a parent. Objective: provides an overview of the application of nursing care to primiparous post partum mothers with nursing problems in Increasing Parenthood. Methods: using quantitative research, the method used is a descriptive method which will provide an overview of the variables. In this study there were 5 respondents who carried out IMD (Early Breastfeeding Initiation). Results: The main nursing problem in this case study is improving parenthood by providing Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD) innovations. Implementations that have been carried out include conducting assessments, problem analysis, intervention and implementation and evaluation of Early Breastfeeding Initiation nursing innovations. Recommendations: The results of the analysis show that after Early Breastfeeding Initiation was carried out in 5 respondents, it had an effect on improving parenthood.
