Abstract
Background: Background: Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2022, the population of premenopausal women in Central Java Province in 2022 will be 2.6 million people. The population of premenopausal women in Kebumen Regency is 90,472 people. In Bonorowo sub-district, the population of premenopausal women is 1,282 people. The population of premenopausal mothers in Mrentul Village is 159 people. In general, they do not get sufficient and correct information so what they think about is the negative effects they will experience after entering premenopause and menopause. They feel anxious about the end of the reproductive period, namely that sexual desire will stop and organ function will decrease. Research Objective: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between knowledge of premenopause and the level of anxiety in facing menopause in Mrentul Village, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency. Research Method: This research is a correlation research using a cross sectional approach. Data collection uses a questionnaire. The sampling technique in this research was the Slovin formula, which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, namely 62 respondents and used the sperman rank statistical test. Research Results: There is a significant relationship between knowledge and premenopausal anxiety levels. The statistical test results obtained a value of p = 0.003 α < 0.05 so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted, which means there is a relationship between premenopausal knowledge and the level of anxiety in facing menopause in Mrentul Village, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge of premenopause and the level of anxiety in facing menopause in Mrentul Village, Bonorowo District, Kebumen Regency Recommendations for further research: it is hoped that premenopausal anxiety will be studied in more depth.
