Abstract
Background: Mental health problems have now become a threat that needs attention, even though they do not cause death for ODGJ, they can directly cause harm to sufferers because ODGJ cannot be productive, proper acceptance of people with mental disorders is needed to get a stable and productive condition. return. Objective: To determine the community's acceptance of People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) at Karangkobar Public Health Center. Methods: This research uses a quantitative descriptive analytical method using crosssectional approach with univariate analysis. Sample of 100 participants (purposive sampling). Analysis with SPSS Ver.23 using a frequency distribution table. Research instrument with knowledge, perception, and attitude questionnaires using CAMII. Results: The results of the research on the characteristics of the respondents showed that most of them were 36-60 years old, 52 (52%), the majority were female, 78 (78%), most had elementary school education, 36 (36%), most of them were unemployed or domestic workers. 50 (50%), the majority of respondents' length of stay was 11-60 years, 88 (88%). The results of research on public acceptance of ODGJ in terms of the knowledge of the majority of respondents with sufficient knowledge were 72 (72%), the perception of the majority of respondents with negative perceptions was 87 (87%), and in terms of the attitudes of all respondents with positive attitudes with a total of 100 (100%). Conclusion: The results of research on community acceptance of ODGJ at Karangkobar Public Health Center, the community has sufficient knowledge, negative perceptions, and positive attitudes. Recommendation: Further research is recommended on the correlation between knowledge, perceptions, and community attitudes towards ODGJ.
