Abstract
Background: The main role of health services is to provide optimal care and improve patient quality. Instability and Quality. The ED is an important unit in health care, to ensure patient care. It can be said that emergency room nurses have quite a big responsibility regarding the safety of someone's life. A high workload can cause fatigue and exhaustion for nurses. Nurse exhaustion and exhaustion can occur if nurses work more than 80% of working time. Jobs where little time is spent on tasks, resulting from poor working conditions and unproductive tasks. This can cause Stres in the emergency room area, causing physical, mental and emotional tension. Objective: To analyze the relationship between workload and work Stres levels of nurses in the emergency room at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Methode: The method used in this research is descriptive correlation with a crosssectional approach. The sample taken was 19 nurses in the emergency room using total sampling technique. Bivariate analysis with Spearman rank test. Results: Frequency characteristics of respondents based on age, mostly 36-48 years old, 13 (68.4, gender, the largest percentage was male, 15 (78.9%), level of work Stres in the medium category, namely 12 (63.2%), workload category high as 14 (73.7%), There is a relationship between workload and the level of work Stres of nurses in the emergency room at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital Conclusion: There is a relationship between workload and the level of work Stres of nurses in the emergency room at PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Recommendation: Hospitals are expected to improve health services, especially equalizing the workload and allocating an increase in the number of emergency room nurses so that the Stres experienced is minimal or light.
