Abstract

Background: A caesarean section is a surgical procedure performed under anesthesia, involving an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus. Impaired physical mobility refers to limitations in the physical movement of one or more extremities. Mothers who have undergone a C-section often experience mobility disorders, which can be addressed through various methods, one of which is early mobilization. Early mobilization for C-section patients includes regular tilting movements to the left and right, as well as moving the arms and legs, and gradually transitioning to sitting, standing, and walking. Purpose: To describe the nursing care for post-C-section mothers experiencing physical mobility problems at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo Hospital in Purwokerto. Method: This nursing report utilizes a case study or case report approach to determine whether there is an improvement in mobilization among post-C-section mothers with impaired physical mobility following early mobilization interventions. The nursing process was employed as the framework for this nursing report. The nursing intervention was conducted once daily in the morning over a treatment period of two days. Nursing Care Outcome: The primary nursing issue identified was impaired physical mobility. The nursing intervention consisted of 10-15 minutes over two days of early mobilization. Nursing evaluation results from the five patients indicated improvements in independent physical mobility. Conclusion: Early mobilization therapy has a positive effect on addressing physical mobility disorders in post-C-section mothers.
