The prevalence of diabetes mellitus diagnosed by doctors in Kebumen is 1.05% (Riskesdas 2018). By implementing the four pillars of diabetes mellitus management, diabetes can be controlled. These pillars include education about diabetes, nutrition, pharmacological treatment, and physical activity. Yulia (2023) stated that one of the treatment methods for preventing complications of diabetes mellitus is diabetic foot exercises and resistance training Objective: determine the effectiveness of leg exercise and resistance exercise therapy to overcome unstable blood glucose levels in type II DM patients Method : Descriptive observation with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were 5 patients suffering from type II DM, who were elderly (>59 years old), the patients could communicate well, could move their legs and several body parts, and were willing to be respondents. This case study was carried out in May 2024. The results : that after carrying out diabetic foot exercise therapy and resistance exercises, 5 patients experienced a decrease in blood glucose levels and stabilized on the third day of intervention at normal levels. Conclusion: Diabetic foot exercise therapy and resistance exercises are effective in maintaining stable blood glucose levels in type II DM patients with problems of unstable blood glucose levels.
