Abstract
Background: CHF is a major risk factor for leg edema. Edema may occur as blood accumulates in the feet, ankles and soles. Part of fluid therapy to reduce edema and fluid retention in CHF is leg elevation therapy. Another therapy that can be done is warm compresses.. Objective: Describe the results of nursing care for the application of foot elevation 300 and warm compresses to reduce the degree of lower extremity oedema in Congestive Heart Failure patients in the cempaka room at KRT Setjonegoro Wonosobo Hospital. Methods: This study used a descriptive method of case study approach, with a total research sample of 5 respondents. The research instruments used were foot elevation 300 exercises and warm compresses. Foot elevation 300 innovation and warm compresses are given for 10 minutes 4x a day for 3 days. Results: The results of the assessment that have been carried out on five respondents suffering from CHF obtained data that the five respondents experienced lower extremity edema. After implementation for 10 minutes 4x a day for 3 days, it was found that giving foot elevation 300 and warm compresses was effective in reducing the degree of limb edema. Recommendations for further research: Future researchers are expected to add a history of diuretic drug use to the health history assessment to determine the level of effectiveness that may affect conditions when providing interventions.
