Abstract
Background: To lower down Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia can be done by conducting labor process assisted by trained health personnel in delivery clinic or hospital with good health facilities. The application of breathing technique by using lavender aromatherapy can provide benefits in labor, such as energy regulation, oxygen supply, and relaxation. Objective: To provide care for maternal mother by applying breathing technique using lavender aromatherapy towards the labor progress in independent midwifery clinic of midwife Sri Wiwik Ismurtini S. ST in Kebumen.. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The assessment facts were obtained through physical examination, care delivery and direct observation, then being documented. Result: After having breathing technique using lavender aromatherapy, all participants got progressed labor and the labor could run quickly and normally. Conclusion: Lavender aromatherapy used in breathing technique is effective for labor progrss.
