Abstract
Background: Walking is a movement requiring coordination of the the strength of upper and lower leg muscles. Many parents use a wrong tool (aids) to stimulate their children to walk, so that their children's growth in walking is slow. Therefore, the writer is interested in applying innovation, i.e traditional aids for stimulating a baby in the age of 9-12 months to walk, to know the mother's response on the use of traditional aids to stimulate her baby walking, and knowing the effectiveness of the traditional aids. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with case study approach. Result: After the walking stimulation using the traditional aids, the ability of all participants (2 babies) to walk is increasing. The first participant could walk 2 steps forwards without assistance. While the second participant could stand upright. Conclusion: The use of traditional aids is not yet effective for stimulating a baby to walk. This is because the writer could not conduct the observation until the baby could walk well. This was because of limited time.
