Abstract
Background: Anxiety on children in Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta is in medium category (55, 6%). Children care during the hospitalization requires non-traumatic collaborative action, such as the management of intravenous therapy. Objective: Describing anxiety nursing care for children who have intravenous fluid therapy in Muhammadiyah Hospital of Gombong. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interview, observation, and physical examination. The subjects were 2 patients, i.e. children having anxiety during hospitalization. Result: After having nursing care, the anxiety level of the patients decreased to be light anxiety category. Recommendation: Development of Science and Technology of Nursing is expected to provide facilities and infrastructure to hospitals for children-play therapy.
