Abstract
Background: Stroke patient may have depression because of the loss of conflicting object. He will react in anger at himself. This can cause a body image disorder. The nursing cares to solve the disorder are discussing the perception of his past and present body image, motivating him to maximize his limbs which can still be used, exploring the positive aspect and motivation, explaining the disease to the family. Objective: Providing nursing care for non-hemorrhagic stroke patient having body image disorder. Method: This scientific paper is analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interview, observation, and documentation study. The subjects were 2 non-hemorrhagic patients in Dr. Soedirman hospital, Kebumen. Result: After having nursing care for 4 days, there was a decrease in symptoms of body image disorder at of both patients by 50%. The ability of both patients had increased at 60%. Conclusion: The nursing care for non-hemorrhagic stroke patients can decrease the symptoms and can also increase their ability
