Abstract
Background: Blood pressure at elderly will tend to be high so that greater risk of hypertension. Hypertension gymnastics exercise regulary can lowered blood pressure. Objective: Perfome hypertension gymnastics exercise lowered blood pressure of hypertensive patients at community health center II of gombong. Method: The paper used case study method and reported nurshing care of elderly who experience hypertension patients. Results: The application of hypertension gymnastics is done 4 times a week with 30 minutes time and evaluation of hypertensive gymnastic ability and blood pressure evaluation at the beginning and end of the meeting. The evaluation result of hypertension ability of pre test of 20% and post test increased 80% according to Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) hypertension gymnastics. Evaluation of pre test blood pressure 170/110 mmHg and post test 150/100 mmHg resulting in decreased systolic blood pressure 20 mmHg and decreased diastolic blood pressure 10 mmHg. Conclusion: Hypertension gymnastics can lower blood pressure and can be modified through elderly gymnastics movements that can be applied regularly in the elderly with high blood pressure. Recommendations: Elderly with hypertension should be given gymnastics exercise. Keywords: Elderly, hypertension, gymnastics exercise
