Abstract
Background: The society play a very important role in some emerency cases. Their role and knowledge are the main factors that may determine one’s safety. Health education is an effort to make information comperehensible that can impact the behavior of he community, especially the family. Hopefully, then then can give suggestion about health education, such as burn care. Based on the the previous study, 8 out of 10 housewives experiencin burns used toothpaste as their pre-hospital first aid. Objective: To determine the influence of health education on the knowledge of family’s prehospital first aid in healin the burn at Sidodadi, Puring. Metod: This study uses quasi experiment method with one grup pre-test-post-test appoarch. The sample of 67 families taken by purposive sampling. The data wew analyzed by using descriptive analysis and by using Wilxocon test comparative analysis. Result: This study resilted in findings that before the health education, most of the respondents have enough knowledge category (50,7%). After having health education, most of the respodents have good knowledge category (62,7%). Conclusion: There is influence of health education on the kowledge of prehospital first aid of the family in healing burns at Sidodadi, Puring
