Abstract
Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis is a disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is aerob bacteria that can live mainly in pulmonary. This will lead to ineffective airway clearance, and finally will cause respiratory system disorder. Objective: To describe nursing care for patients having ineffective airway clearance with respiratory system disorder: pulmonary tuberculosis. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interview, observation, physical examination, and documentation study. The subjects were 2 pulmonary tuberculosis patients having ineffectiveness airway clearance. Result: After having nursing care by carrying out the nursing plan, such as teaching effective coughing, auscultation breath sound, giving semifowler position, giving oxygen as indicated, training deep breath, the ineffectiveness problem of airway clearance related to the acumulation of the secretion of the ssubject 1was resolved and of the subject 2 was not resolved yet. Conclusion: Ineffective airway clearance associated with secretive secretions can cause a person to breathe in difficulty as it inhibits the flow of air entering and leaving the lungs. ssaw Keywords: Pulmonary tuberculosis, ineffective aiway clearance, nursing care.
