Abstract
Background: Diabetes melitus is a hyperglhycemia disease characterized by absolute absence of insulin or a relative decrease in cells incentive towards insulin. Tissue integrity damage is a condition of an individual having damages in integument, mucous membrane, corneal, tissue wrapping, and subcutaneous tissue. Objective: To provide a nursing care for diabetes melitus patients with tissue integrity damage. Method: This scientific paper is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The data was collected through interview, physical examination, observation, and documentation study. Result: After having nursing care for 3 days, there were decreases in smell, length, width of the wound, but no decrease in the depth of the wound, and no granulation so that the problems were unsolvable.
