Abstract
Background: Chronic renal failure is a renal impairment occurring due to frequency of drug consumption or complications of a particular disease. Chronic renal failure patients often have dietary disobedience. This is influenced by some factors and these influencing factors of disobedience are urgent to address for the sake of the quality of life of the patients in the future. Objective: To find out the influencing factors of dietary disobedience of chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis in dr. Soedirman hospital of Kebumen. Method: This research is an analytical descriptive with cross sectional design. The respondents are 33 chronic renal failure patients taken by using accidental sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Rank Spearman correlation test. Result: The study resulted in the findings on the influencing factors of dietary disobedience, such as family support with p value = 0.000 (<0.05), knowledge about dietary with p value = 0.013 (<0.05) and patients attitude has no influnce to dietary disobedience with p value = 0.009 (<0.05). Conclusion: Based on the influencing factors of the dietary disobedience of chronic renal failure patient, it is necessary to provide health education to increase the patient’s obedience in his diet.
