Abstract
Background: Pulmonary tuberculosis is a contagious disease directly caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis. Most Tuberculosis germs attack the lungs but can also invade other organs. Clinical symptoms of tuberculosis are divided into local symptoms and systemic symptoms. If the affected organ is the lungs then local symptoms are respiratory symptoms, such as coughing more than 2 weeks, coughing up blood, shortness of breath, chest pain. Objective: Describing nursing care for pulmonary tuberculosis patients with acute pain in Dahlia Ward of dr. Soedirman hospital of Kebumen. Method: This research is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interview, direct observation, physical examination, and documentation study. The respondents were 2 pulmonary tuberculosis patients with acute pain. Result: After having nursing care for three days, acute pain associated with biological injury agents and ineffective airway clearance associated with excessive mucus accumulation were solvable.
