Abstract
Background Traditional Engklek is a game that has existed since ancient times that hereditary, became the cultural heritage of our ancestors game on the zanman first. This crank game is done by jumping using 1 foot, the game can be as a stimulus for children to train memory and imagination of children. Objective To know the effect of traditional game of Kpk on improvement of motor skills of rough and fine motor in children aged 4-6 years in kindergarten Permata Village Banjarejo District Puring Kebumen District. Methods of pre experimental research. The number of samples were 37 respondents by using total sampling technique on all students and kindergarten students Permata Hati Banjarejo Village Puring District Kebumen Regency. Technique of data collection using Denver Development Screening Test II (Denver II). Data analysis using computer program. Results From 37 respondents. The results of rough motor studies before the traditional game given there are 9 (24.3%) abnormal, while 28 (75.7%) normal. Results of rough motor studies after the traditional game given there are 4 (10,9%) abnormal, while 33 (89.1%) normal. The results of fine motor studies before the traditional treatment of the game given ablorm there are 8 (21.7%). While 29 (78.3%) normal. The results of fine motor research after the traditional game given there are 2 (5.4%) abnormal, while 35 (94.6%) normal. Then the effect of traditional game of kplek to the increase of rough motor skills of children in obtaining Sig (2-tailed) 0,023, Then the effect of traditional plastic game to increase the fine motor skills of children in obtaining Sig (2-tailed) 0,012. Conclusion There is an effect of traditional games of the crank on improving motor skills of fine motor and rough motor. Recommendations Other researchers are expected to be able to develop this research and can find other games that can develop children's motor skills
