Abstract
Pursuant to antecedent research of interview by 10 men student in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gombong, in the reality there are tendency from men student having high knowledge about cigarette effect to behave the negativity to cigarette, on the contrary for men student which have lower knowledge about cigarette effect kindly to behave normally to cigarette activity. This condition urge on the writer to prove there is correlation between mount knowledge about cigarette effect with the cigarette attitude at men student in SMP Muhammadiyah Gombong 2016. This research represent the research survai use the approach of time of cross sectional by desain correlation description. Its responder amount to 66 men student, its data collecting technique use the questionaire, while its data analysis use the formula of Kendall'S Tau. Result of research show: (1) storey level of knowledge of effect cigarette of student of majority men categorize enough (45,45%); (2) majority of men student have the good enough category cigarette attitude ( 48,48%); (3) there is correlation between mount knowledge about cigarette effect with the cigarette attitude at men student in SMP Muhammadiyah Gombong 2016 ( p = 0,000). Pursuant to obtained conclusion, management of Kependidikan SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gombong expected to improve the counselling to student about negative impact of cigarette, so the student motivated to behave anti cigarette.
