Abstract
Background: Compliance is a human behavior to be discipline and obedient to rules, orders, procedures. Intravenous therapy is to place sterile fluid through a needle, directly into the patient’s vein. And the procedueor the action of the infusion must follow the procedural operation standard. If a nurse does not follow the procedure, the infuse installation will give impact, such as plebitis infection. Therefore, compliance to the procedueal operation standard is needed in doing an intervention is needed. Objective: To know nurse compliance on pre-intrraction, orientation, working phases, termination of procedural operation stndard of infusion in dr. Soedirman hospital of Kebumen. Method: This study is a descriptive quantitative by conducting an obsevation. The responden were 54 nurses of emergency room, Teratai ward, Melati ward of dr. Soedirman hospital of Kebumen. Result: This study yields in the findings that 54 respondents (9,25%) were disobedients in the pre-interraction stage 4, there were 8 responden (85,1%) were obedient in the orientation stage, and in he termination stage there was only 1 respondent (98,1%) who was not obedient. Conclusion: There was disobedience in the pre-interraction stage, orientation, and termination due to human and infrastructure factors. Recomendation: Further research can make a more in-depth observation and can make observations on their own to be more valid in the research.
