Abstract
Introduction: Congestive heart failure or CHF is an increasingly high disease and a cause of death. CHF patients usually complain of shortness of breath, either at rest or during activity. Handling of CHF patients at IGD RSUD Cilacap by providing semi-fowler position to reduce shortness of breath. Objective: to analyze nursing care in CHF patients with problem of breath pattern is not effective at RSUD Cilacap Results of nursing care: the assessment was conducted on five patients with CHF diagnosis, carried out primary survey and secondary survey. From the analysis of the data, it was found that the main nursing problem was ineffective. Then intervention in the patient by giving the position of semi fowler. Conclusion: nursing care in patients with CHF was done by primary survey study ie airway, breathing, circulation, disability, exposure. Nursing diagnoses that appear that the breath pattern is not effective. Self-nursing action is done by providing semi-fowler position.
