Abstract
Background: Durung toddler motor skills have increase, but has not been matched perfectly peripheral muscle and motion coordination capabilities, so itu can cause children toddlers of parents act to prevent the form of surveillance. Objective: To know the relationship of parental behavior in accident prevention in children with accident in toddler age in Selokerto, Gombong, Kebumen Method: This research use correlation method with cross-sectional approach. Samples totaling 73 parents of toddler-age children taken on total sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive and correlative analysis using chi square test. Result: Parental behavior in the prevention of accidents in children in sufficient category (78.1%). Most children of toddler age have never had and accident durung the last 3 months (60.3%). There is relationship of parental behavior in the prevention of accidents in children with accident incidence in Selokerto, Gombong, Kebumen (p=0.007). Recommendation: It is expected that all parents can always apply better behavior of the importance of prevention of accidents that occur in toddlers in particular supervise children in bemain and in the selection of toys ini children, so as to reduce the incidence rate of accidents
