Abstract

Background: Based on data of World Health Organization (2011) about 90% of normal labor processed are indicated by torn either with or without episiotomy. In Asia perineal rupture is quite a lot, about 50%. Pineapple contains Bromelain enzyme. It has anti-inflammation that can lift dead skin cells and skin disease, such as itching, eczema and scabies. It can also reduce pain, accelerate blood circulation, and ia effective for sound recovery. Objective: To know the application of pineapple juice to accelerate sound healing of perineum of postpartum mother in independent midwifery clinic of Midwife Sri Rejeki. Method: This study is an analytical descriptive with a case study approach. The respondents are 5 postpartum mothers having perineum wound. The instrument used to assessment wound healing is the Reeda scale. Data were obtained through interview, observation, documentation, and literary study. Result: After having the application of pineapple juice for 7 consecutive days, finally all respondents have no perineum wounds-3 respondents experience wound healing on the fourth day, and 2 other respondents experience healing on the seven yg day. Conclusion: The application of pineapple juice can accelerate the healing of perineal sound of post partum mothers.
