Abstract
Background: postpartum mothers in the early independence period often have difficulties in caring for their new-born babies. This condition may cause problems, on the babies, cush an infection , neonatorum tetanus, being fussy and insomnia. These problems can be overcome by motivating postpartum mothers to be independent in giving care for their new-born babies. It is conducted by applying mother baby care (MBC). Objective: This study aims at klowing the application of mother baby care (MBC) on postpartum mothers in giving care for their new-born babies. Method: This research was conducted by using an analiytical descriptive with a case study design. The participants were 5 physiological postpartum mothers in the independent Midwifery Clinec of Midwife ida Ayu Astiti, S.ST in Kebumen. Data were obtained through interview, observation, documentation and literary study. Result: After having the application of mother baby care (MBC), the independence of all participants in caring for their new-born babies were good categorized (100%).
