Abstract
Background, Appendectomy operation can be caused a psychological response namely anxiety. The impact that arises if anxiety does not immediately handle such as difficult to be a focus and understand events during treatment. One of the ways to solve the anxiety problem is by five fingers training. This intervention in nursing will reduce their stress with (Self Hypnosis). Objective, Explaining of nursing treatment on nursing patient pre operation be appendectomy with the problem of nursing anxiety at PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. Method, The scientific paper used a descriptive case study design. The subjects are 3 preoperation Appendectomy patients that have an anxiety problem. Data collection ere was taken by observation, interview and documentation study. The instruments that are used this research include; observation paper, SOP of 5 finger Hypnosis and HARS anxiety scale. Results of nursing treatment, The reduction of anxiety most happen on the 3rd patient from a score of 25 (medium anxiety) to be a score of 16 (low anxiety). The 1st patient has to change from the score of 24 (medium anxiety) to be the score 17 (low anxiety) and the 2nd patient has score 28 (heavy anxiety) to be the score of 22 (medium anxiety). For improvement ability in implementation 5 finger Hypnosis, the most increasing done by the 3rd patient from a score of 0 to be 9, then it is continued by the 2nd patient f rom the score 0 to be 7 and the 1st patient from score 0 to 5. Recommendation, The 5 finger Hypnosis can be applied to reduce the anxiety problem of patient pre operation Appendectomy
