Abstract
Background : Labor pain was a real condition for pregnant women and became a very important focus of attention for the community. This is one of the biggest challenges in labor if not prevented can cause the progres of labor to be prolonged. According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2020, around 85%-90% of pregnant women experienced moderate to severe pain, while around 7%-15% did not experience pain. One of the efforts to overcome labor pain was through non-pharmacological methods such as birth ball and endorphin massage. Objective : To carry out of the application of birth ball and endorphin massage to reduce labor pain in the first stage Method : This Qualitative research with case study research design, the facts of this study were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The application was carried out duringMarch to April 2025 with the application of birth ball and endorphin massage to reduce labor pain in the first stage. Respondents as many as 3 people with the category of all willing laboring mothers who have entered the inclusion criteria. The instrument used is the NRS (Numeric Rating Scale) pain scale questionnaire to determine the pain scale. Results : Before the application of birth balls and endorphin massage, participants experienced pain during labor, with 33% experiencing mild pain, 33% moderate pain, and 33% severe pain. After the application of birth balls and endorphin massage, participants experienced a reduction in pain levels, with 100% reporting mild pain. This intervention was carried out on 3 participants start from April 24 to April 29, 2025. Conclusion : The use of birth balls and endorphin massage to reduce labor pain during the first stage of labor demonstrates that birth balls and endorphin massage are effective in reducing labor pa
