Abstract

Background, According to data from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2021, the Central Java Province recorded 83,665 cases of diarrhea in children and toddlers, representing 23.4% of the total reported cases Objective, This study aims to describe the pattern of antibiotic use in patients with non-specific diarrhea at the Sumpiuh I Primary Health Center. Methods, This research employed a non-experimental design using qualitative and descriptive methods. Results , Results Conclusion , hese findings suggest that the use of antibiotics remains suboptimal and not fully rational. Further education and monitoring are necessary to improve the appropriateness of antibiotic therapy in primary healthcare facilities. Recommendation , It is recommended that primary health centers reduce the rate of antibiotic use in non-specific diarrhea cases to ensure more rational prescribing practices that align with established antibiotic use standards
