Abstract

Background, Teenage pregnancy was a high-risk reproductive health problem and had an impact on the physical, psychological, and social health of teenagers. Insufficient knowledge about reproductive health was one of the main factors that caused early pregnancy. Adolescents with good knowledge were expected to have a more positive attitude towards preventing teenage pregnancy. Research purposes, This study aimed to analyze the relationship between reproductive health knowledge and attitudes towards teenage pregnancy at SMP N 4 Sapuran, Wonosobo Regency. Research methods, This research used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 69 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Research result, Most respondents had a sufficient level of reproductive health knowledge (81.2%), with a positive attitude towards teenage pregnancy at 52.2%. The results of the analysis showed a significant relationship between reproductive health knowledge and attitudes towards teenage pregnancy (p-value = 0.003). Conclusion, Good reproductive health knowledge correlated with positive attitudes towards preventing teenage pregnancy. Structured reproductive health education that involved parents and health workers was necessary to increase awareness and attitudes of teenagers. Recommendation, It was recommended to improve reproductive health education programs in schools by involving teachers, health workers, and families. The use of valid and trustworthy media was also important to increase reproductive health literacy in adolescents.
