Abstract

Background, Hypertension is a condition that affects the circulatory system, which causes blood pressure to increase above normal limits, namely above 140/90 mmHg. Generally, symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, and visual disturbances appear, usually occurring when this condition has reached an advanced stage and blood pressure exceeds normal limits. In addition to regular antihypertensive treatment, non-pharmacological therapy can reduce the effects of hypertension and help control blood pressure, one of the therapies used is Slow Stroke Back Massage, a gentle massage technique used to massage the back tissue with the aim of increasing physiological effects, especially on blood vessels, muscles, and nerves In addition to making patients feel more comfortable, this therapy also improves circulation and low blood pressure, reduced pain response and improved sleep quality General Objective, The purpose of this study was to analyze Nursing Care for hypertensive patients with acute pain nursing problems by providing slow stroke back massage therapy. Method, This case study uses a descriptive method involving 5 patients who experienced acute pain in hypertensive patients. The data obtained using an observation sheet, then the action taken was to provide slow stroke back massage therapy. Nursing Care Results, The main nursing diagnosis that appeared in the five patients was Acute Pain, the implementation was carried out according to nursing interventions, namely slow stroke back massage therapy, the results obtained were that the patient experienced changes, namely decreased pain, and decreased blood pressure. Recommendations, Nurses are expected to be able to apply slow stroke back massage chest therapy to handle acute pain nursing problems in hypertensive patients
