Abstract

This research aims to develop a weight detector using the Weight Feeder system on a mung bean transport conveyor using the value engineering method. This system is designed to improve measurement efficiency and detect excess weight that causes component damage during the object transfer process. The value engineering method is applied to analyze existing system functions, identify costs, and evaluate more economical design alternatives without sacrificing quality. The results of the proposed research design show that the application of a weight detection system using Weight Fedeer can improve measurement accuracy up to 99.5% in the case of the cement material transfer process. So this research recommends to be implemented on a conveyor to transport green beans.
