Abstract

One measure to assess whether pharmacy services meet the minimum criteria is the waiting time for prescription drug management, as stipulated in Ministry of Health Regulation No. 129/Menkes/SK/II/2008 on Minimum Hospital Service Standards, namely a waiting time of <30 minutes for non-compounded prescription drugs and <60 minutes for compounded prescription drugs. Objective : This study was conducted to determine the description and evaluate the waiting time for prescription services at the Outpatient Pharmacy of Dr. Soedirman General Hospital in Kebumen during August 2025. Method : This study was quantitative, non-experimental, using a descriptive analytical approach. The study was conducted in August 2025 at Dr. Soedirman Regional General Hospital with a sample size of 378 prescriptions selected using random sampling. Results : From the analysis conducted, the average waiting time for noncompounded prescriptions was 58.99 minutes (58 minutes 59 seconds) and for compounded prescriptions was 83.98 minutes (83 minutes 59 seconds). The waiting time for non-compounded prescriptions that met the requirements was 34 prescriptions (17%), and those that did not meet the requirements were 166 prescriptions (83%). Meanwhile, for non-compounded prescriptions, 51 prescriptions (28.6%) met the requirements, and 127 prescriptions (71.4%) did not meet the requirements. Conclusion : The prescription waiting time at the Outpatient Pharmacy of Dr. Soedirman Kebumen Regional General Hospital does not meet the applicable standards. Recommendation : To reduce prescription waiting time, it is necessary to increase the number of employees and differentiate between BPJS and general prescriptions.
