Abstract

Background: The implementation of the MCH Handbook has not been maximized, there are still mothers, who have not carried out the things that should be done in the implementation of the MCH Handbook. This lack of knowledge has an impact on the lack of utilization of maternal health services. In an effort to overcome this, it is necessary to socialize the MCH Handbook to pregnant women to find out the Danger Signs in the Third Trimester. Based on the results of research (Danefi, et al, 2021) that the MCH Handbook Socialization is effective for increasing knowledge, but the results of Maheasy's research (Materna journal, 2013) It is known that the level of knowledge of pregnant women about Pregnancy Danger Signs is mostly in the sufficient category. Destination It is common to be able to use the MCH Handbook to increase knowledge about danger signs in the third trimester of pregnancy. Method quantitative descriptive research with a case study approach with a one group pretest and posttest design. The number of samples was 5 third trimester pregnant women who came to visit PMB Restu Bunda, the sampling technique was purposive sampling. Resultsit was found that the level of knowledge before the MCH Handbook Socialization was sufficient (60%) and after the MCH Handbook Socialization was good (80%) it showed that there was a significant difference between knowledge before and after the MCH Handbook Socialization was carried out. Conclusion Utilization of the MCH Handbook Socialization maximizes the knowledge of pregnant women about the danger signs in the third trimester of pregnancy.
