Abstract
Background semi fowler is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways that is characterized by repeated attacks in the form of shortness of breath and wheezing, the condition varies in severity and frequency from person to person. Asthma is a type of long-term or chronic disease of the respiratory tract that is characterized by inflammation and narrowing of the airways that causes shortness or difficulty breathing. Purpose describe nursing care by applying the semi fowler position to reduce the problem of oxygenation in asthma patients in RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen. Method the author uses descriptive methods aimed at providing an overview of an actual, accurate and objective problem Result after being given the semi-Fowler technique the client changes that initially RR 28x / minute and 26x / minute. After being given the semi-Fowler technique for 3 days it became 24x / minute and 23x / minute. Conclusion semi fowler position is proven to reduce shortness of breath Recommendations researchers are expected in the future can be used as a source of reference data for further research.
