Abstract
Background: Anxiety about death is an umpleasant emotional condition experienced by someone when he thinks about death, because the unclear conditions that accompany death and anxiiety are influenced by several factors. Objective: To find out the analysis of the factors that influence the anxiety of the elderly in facing death at the Adi Yuswo Elderly Social Service Home in Purworejo Regency. Method: The method used in this study is an analytic correlation study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were all elderly who lived in the orphanage as many as 64 elderly who were taken iin total sampling with inclusion and exclusion creteria. Results: Of the 64 elderly the highest level of anxiety was moderate anxiety as many as 38 elderly (59.4%). Analysis of age factors has an effect on anxiety facing death with ap-value of 0.001 (<0.05). Analysis of the factors of ego integrity influences anxiety facing a p-value of 0.004 (<0.05). Analysis of self-control factors has an effect on anxiety facing death with a p-value of 0.003(<0.05). The Analysis of religiosity factors has effect on anxiety facing death with a p-value of 0.003 (<0.05). Analysis of personal sense of fullfilment factors influences the anxiety of the elderly in facing death with a p-value of 0.004(<0.05). Conclusion: The Influence of the anxiety factors of the elderly in facing death. Recommendation: as a basis for intervention or follow-up action on the anxiety of the elderly in facing death.
