Abstract
Background: Stunting is one of the problems of malnutrition in children. Stunting is when children have stunted physical growth, so they become short for their age. Stunting can have a negative impact on a child's physical growth, intelligence, and potential in adulthood. Maternal knowledge is very important for the welfare of children, and it is hoped that mothers who have adequate knowledge are expected to be able to apply this knowledge in everyday life so that it is good for the development and growth of children so that children avoid malnutrition, is stunting. Objective: To determine the overview of pregnant women's knowledge level about stunting and its prevention in the Kroya II Puskesmas UPTD area. Methods: This research used quantitative method with a descriptive observational research design. The research instrument used questioners of stunting knowledge and stunting prevention. The research respondents were 60 pregnancies women. The data was obtainces by SPSS. Results: The research results showed that there were 33 respondents (55.0%) of pregnant women's knowledge about stunting and stunting prevention. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of pregnant women regarding stunting and its prevention in the UPTD area of Kroya II Health Center is mostly at a sufficient level of knowledge. Recommendation: For future researchers can develop different methods, such as interviews (qualitative), with a wider range of research locations and larger samples. Future researchers can also examine other factors besides those used in this research, such as maternal motivation, family support, environmental support, and so on.
